Q: May I ask you how much for the ramp that comes out of the side of van? I have to tell you I lost my afghan dog last year with a back problem if I had had this I would of saved him so much pain in his last few weeks! He might still be with me today but his pain was so bad at the end I had to end his misery. He would not use a regular stair case to come down! You know the metal ones that are not as wide! He just absolutely refused! Do they make one that is very wide for the back of the van or one that has sides to it? I think because it was not wide enough it scared him and I think he would have felt more secure if there was atlest one side that came up so he did not think he was going to fall off. This looks much wider! Do you drop ship? I will be starting an online business soon and would like to offer some of your products to others that may be in the future where I was last year. I am also a member of animal care group.

Q: Does the Auto Hitch Step stay attached to the hitch and fold away for driving? I have owned a Twistep and need to replace it soon. I am interested in this product as it is lighter than the old one I have. Thanks Ray

A: No. The Auto Hitch Step is designed to be a portable unit that is installed and removed for each use. It stores in your vehicle when driving and weighs only 5lbs.

Q: The Auto Hitch Step from Handi-Ramp may be an good solution to an access problem I have with my RV. The first step from the group is a long reach and because of the design of the RV I can not add extra steps easily and still maintain ground clearence.

Q: Is there anything available to cover indoor wheelchair ramps (made from wood) other than rug?

Q: Looking for non skid strips for a loading ramp on a cargo trailer (12" x 6') Utility cart, approx. 1500 lbs, will this hold up to the weight??

Q: Non-skid tread strips: would this product work on a concrete ramp that has forklift traffic? We have an outside concrete ramp that the forklifts have to travel up and down to empty dust collector bags. In the winter or when the ramp is wet, it is pretty slick.

A: Non slip treads are designed to be applied to concrete, masonry, wood and any other surface.

Q: I have a 16' x 4' x 3/4" plywood ramp for my wife's wheelchair and want to put non-skid strips on it. How many strips would you recommend for that size ramp, and how much will they cost?

A: Non-skid strips can be purchased in different sizes and applied in numerous orientations. There are three standard designs including non slip pads (4" x 12"), non skid strips (4" x 30") and non skid stair nosing (1.875" x 30"). We recommend that non skid strips be spaced 8" on center. For your particular application you would need (24) non skid treads and (24) non slip pads to give adequate coverage of 42" of width on the 48" ramp. On the width, there should be a 3" space on the left and right sides with the treads/pads in the center of the ramp. On the length, there should be a 2" space before the first tread; placed 8" on center, the treads/pads will finish 2" from the opposite end of the ramp. Cost would be $413.76 for our factory finished products or $341.76 for our factory second products.

Q: We are in great need for your aluminum stair covering. We live in Park City Utah, 7100' with at least 9' of snow per season. We are a residence with two large and long flights of very slippery, newly stained wood stairs. Do you have a local contractor or supplier? How do we get your product? Q: I am the Director Materials Mgmt at my hospital. There is a small slightly arched bridge planked with wood deck boards about 10 wide and 30 feet long. It is very slippery in wet and icy conditions. It has had some grit paint applied that has worn off. I was wondering if there was a product that had built in safety traction that would not broil in the summer heat or aid freezing rain to accumulate. If it could replace the decking and be maintenance free it woulsd solve some problems. Can you offer any advice?

Q: I am trying to get some information for some non-skid stair plates for my apartment building. I have a VERY large deck that has about 20 to 30 stairs per side and they are EXTREMELY slippery when wet. The width of each stair is about 3 feet and I'd like to get something to nail/screw down to prevent tenants from falling and suing me :) I didn't see anything on your website that was approximately 3 feet wide by 8 inches deep with a nose on it.

Q: What do you mean by "factory seconds" on the stair treads? Are they defective?

A: Factory second stair treads are no defective but simply not perfect. They may have a button pattern that is off center or a button that is cut off over the edge. Factory seconds are made from the same material and work just as well but may not have as polished of a look.
