We had a very frightening situation happen, a deer feeding at the side of our house stepped on and fell thru the plastic cover over our basement window well. It fell down into the well and crashed thru the window glass into our finished basement. After the police and animal control got the deer out and we cleaned up an awful mess, we were desperate to find a source for steel window well grates to prevent this from happening again.

We contacted all the large hardware stores and could not find a source for metal, either in stock or by special order. We found Handi-Ramp on line and called them.
